Drivers

Pay and Benefits

Regional:

  • $0.65/Practical Mile

Accessorial Pay:

  • $25.00 Additional stop pay beyond 1 PU and 1 DEL.
  • $75.00 Layover (if in a day cab, JBS will accommodate a hotel room for the night)
  • $30.00 per Hour after 2 hours at a live load/unload. Driver must report to dispatch in real time.

*** These accessorial payments only apply to regional drivers.

Vacation:

Driver vacation is defined as a daily prorated rate of guaranteed salary for regional drivers. Local drivers will receive their daily rate.

  • 1st year (after 6 months) – 5 days
  • 2nd year and Beyond – 2 additional vacation days per service years up to 15 days
 

Referral Bonuses:

  • $500.00 Paid to Referring Driver/Employee after 20 in-service days (1 month)
  • $500.00 Paid to Referral after 20 in-service days (1 month)


Benefits:

  • Health, Dental, and Vision coverage available on the 1st of the month after 60 days from the hire date.
  • 401K – J. Boren & Sons Trucking will match employee contribution up to 4% of annual salary.

Equipment, Technology, and other Incentives:

  • Equipment – J. Boren & Sons is committed to operating New and late model tractors that are in excellent operation condition.
  • Technology – Tractors are equipped with the latest and best in the marketplace ELD’s. State of the art GPS technology and telematics on all tractors and trailers.
  • Fuel/Maintenance – J. Boren & Sons Trucking has an established relationship with Love’s. Drivers will be issued a fuel card. Fuel stops will be determined by the best routing available on current dispatch, with a preference to fuel at Love’s.
  • Personal Vehicles – Drivers may park 1 personal vehicle in our yard space. Drivers will need to provide proof of insurance and sign a waiver of liability.
  • Dedicated Dispatch/Fleet Manager – Drivers will be assigned to a specific dispatcher/fleet manager. Drivers will always be available to reach dispatch, regardless of time of day or obstacle. Drivers will have escalation points
